Well, I'm back to the real world I call home after being away for a week. My hubby and I took a long needed vacation to see our son who lives in Gilbert, Arizona. After that terrible snow storm we experienced, the gorgeous weather in Arizona was nearly medicinal. We all went to a place called Florence while we were there and took in the Renaissance Fair. That proved to be a day of fun despite the fact your sneakers are covered with an inch of dirt by the time you leave.
Four days later, we were on a plane heading for Las Vegas. The fact that we lost half a day caused by delays waiting to take off for such a short flight dampened our spirits until we landed at Mccarran Airport. Las Vegas is a fun city. It's not just the gambling capital of the world. There are terrific shows to see and each hotel on the strip has a theme. We stayed at the Excalibur which is a castle-shaped building. The Luxor is in the shape of a pyramid. Paris has an Eiffel Tower, The Venetian, a Grand Canal complete with gondolas. New York, New York is set up like Manhattan and the surrounding boroughs, complete with the Empire Building and other skyscrapers. There's also a roller coaster depicting the Cyclone at Coney Island. You get the picture.
On the writing horizon, I contracted another story, Raped by the Law, with Illicit Fruit.
The trouble with vacations are that they fly by so quickly. Oh, well, I'll have to start looking forward to the next one--even though it's so far off.
